When I pray God ask me to keep my mouth shut and open my HEART. When I meditate God sees that my HEARTs door is wide open.

While away this weekend in the woods dancing, meditation and enjoying life I was able to steal some moments to draw. There was so much inspiration everywhere! I have been reading a book on exersices that artist can do when conflicted or stuck. This exercise is for portraits and how not to look at the paper and only your subject and not to worry about the outcome. I have to say these came out pretty cool. The first drawing was done while laying in bed after a bonfire that evening, go figure what it means. I think I will continue with this exercise for a while. Stay tuned I plan on coloring them in as well. Nameste Friends & Enjoy

What does Fiddleheads mean to me...
A dear friend of mine read me the following poem over the phone from Seattle, and my heart melted. I have a love for ferns and especially when they are little fiddleheads in the spring. This is how the name of my blog came about. To me the feeling for this blog is new beginnings errupting into something beautiful that last a long time, and continues to repeat the beauty over time. I hope you all enjoy this poem as much as I do. Thanks to my friend in Seattle
FERNS
Almost invisible, but once you look for them
... nearly everywhere
like moss in crevices and drifting thoughts,
ferns are what it must mean
to love without yearning. Protectors
of everything small that needs to disappear,
deer mice and tossed trash, bad brushstrokes in a painting,
theirs is the softest name, the softest touch.
They are social workers
as social workers should be - so full of calm
even those who don't trust them
come into their care. Fiddleheads or not,
the rumour that once a year, on Midsummer's Eve,
ferns blossom with tiny blue flowers
and if a pinch of fern seed falls upon your shoes
you will be less apparent - this rumor
is baseless: ferns have tiny spores
that travel in dew and raindrops,
no more magical
than Henri Rousseau, composing The Peaceable Kingdom,
or adder's tongues, cinnamon, wall rue.
In the world's secret corners,
men wish to vanish, but ferns are what look on,
trembling, holding all light green places.See More
for brightning my day.

MOON SISTERS FOR HALLOWEEN
I love Halloween and so does my daughter. She asked that I try to paint something for the season. The moon was full one September week, and these images came to me. Being a twin myself I decided to concentrate on the difference's of us and WHALA this is what was created. I am the first painting and my twin sister is the second painting. These were alot of fun to make.

TRANSFORMATION
Good morning my friends. Feeling very sad about a personal situation in my life, I treated myself to an open meditation class. I knew this class was meant to be due to the content which was Transformation! The changing of the leaves is done so quietly yet everyone notices the brilliant colors and textures ,and how right before our eyes this has happened without drama and or doubts. We are all capable of change and transformation for our souls everything happens for a reason...TRANSFORMATION

No Name?
Hello Friends, going through some old work I came across this piece. I am terrible about signing my work, and in this intance there isn't even a name for this piece. I used this drawing in college for a class. I strictly remember not getting the best feed back as well. How appropriate to find this drawing tonight with the moon almost being full. My obsession with eyes remains a contribution to most of my pieces. Something about side profiles also intrigues me when drawing. Oh well there you have it "What do you see?"

The Power of Pink Project
Hanging out in the yard for a good cause. My daughter and I are painting and glittering 50 pumpkins to raise money for Careers with Cancer foundation. We were lucky enough to get all the pumpkins donated. My daughter has a pink boa that she will wear to attract contributers. Back later with more details.
GO PINK POWER!
Passion of Flames
"Dancing with the flames a fiery gypsy's dance"(KrystaynaMaria Postawa)
Night out with friends under the almost full moon lastnight. The energy of the circle was warm and powerful, and very loving. Not a care in the world except when to put another log on. The sounds of laughter, and children running free was our goal for the night.

The Beauty of Blue
"When you realize how perfect everything is, you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky."
(Buddha qoutes)
This week has been so beautiful and the sun in nonstop shining. While out and about I have stopped and taken a moment to soak in the skies beauty. Everyday has been a different look, shade of blue, and cloud formation that sends chills through me.

My Artsy Fartsy Kids
Hello Friends, meet Rosebud my beautiful creative 9 yr old daughter. I love this time of the year with my kids and being outdoors with them. She loves cattalils so this is her tribute to them. As well she is a true artist at HEART! She creates with anything she can get her little hands on. Every year we create a wall of art from school, and here are a few drawings she has created. She is always so excited to tell me how they made the artwork, and "OH mom can we do this here at home" I love kids art because they create exactly what they are feeling without really knowing, so it's always interesting to me to ask why did you create this piece of art. Enjoy and I'm sure there is more to come.
Now my 13 year old son is on a completely different planet with his artwork. This summer while out on the road with their father he took a passion to photography. This pictures are obviously taken at night, but the camera was messing up with the flash. He was completely mesmerized by the photos he took. Check them out. I loved these more then all the other landscape pictures he took and the colors are wonderful.
These photos I believe were taken going into New York City

Late Nite Create
Late night up while the kids played with their sleep overs.
Sometimes I like to experiment with drawing and music, and this was the result listening to Cat Stevens and Tori Amos. I guess somewhere inside there is a reason for these results I am trying not to judge them. I pretty much used any medium I could find. Ink, oil crayons, colored pencil on mat board. Faces are so powerful and for the month of October this will be my focus.
