My intuitives
With just the pen and a free flow stroke of shapes these faces were created. This is kind of a good experiment for me in order to break out of habit of my usually female faces. I rarely draw the male face and I am very happy with this outcome.

Scribble Scrabble
This week I am going to post a daily scribble that I have done in the past few weeks. I like the rush feeling of wanting to complete these before work in the morning. Messing with zentangle for me is a way to create the unexpected and go from there. This drawing is my psychedelic elephant. This is the first ever animal I have ever drawn, and I thinks it's pretty funny. My daughter says that this could not go in a child's room because it will scare them...

A Day At the Park
Ahhh a day at the park. As I sat and watched the kids play, I could not help but notice all the different textures and reflections of light. I immediately took out my camera and this is what I saw. Nature materials in their natural state, left to weather and become pieces of art for the eye to see.

Heart Opening
Pen & Ink with color pencils. (2011) Part of the women and yoga series. I felt so empowered drawing this piece because it is a just a regular everyday ink pen and cross hatch movement. The shading is the best part for me and very zen like for me during a hetic day.

The Feeling of OM
As I flowed through my yoga practice today there was a feeling of freedom and happiness. The challenge of the poses was not an issue, there is no doubt I pushed myself. In the end I conquered and there was no fear. With life's unexpected happenings I am so grateful for the practice of yoga. This is from a series of quick sketches that are so fun when ideas are not flowing.

BUTTERFLIES FOR CAROL
My dear friend lost her daughter to addiction, but seeks harmony & peace in seeing white butterflies that her daughter was very fond of.
This painting came to me in a dream, and I was honored to share it with my friend. I loved only using colored pencil, this kept the picture very innocent to me. The bottom picture was played with digitally and funked out.
Finding a Connection
People come in and out of our lives for a reason and the season. I am so grateful like a songwriter to be able to express my emotions through my art...
No Connection
With the energy of vibrant orange and blue, we try to
CONNECT
The space between us stays open, maybe full of hope and dreams that we are meant to be
As the
SPACE
grows bigger, flames of red splurge and
HEARTS
are broken but only to
LEARN
There just was no
CONNECTION
